| Following a quick break, we jumped right into our
training.
For the next two days, up to 16 hours of P.O.S.T. certified
training was available to the Seminar participants in some of the 27 available
classes given. For a list of the classes that were available to Seminar
attendees,

Wednesday evening, September 29, 2004 was a Get
Together Fiesta to allow networking with old and new friends.
The Seminar banquet took place on Thursday night,
September 30, 2004, with comedian Rufus Tanksley
causing many to laugh too hard.
After dinner, Phil Macklin
introduced the WSATI Southern Chapter Officers,
Seminar
Committee Members, and the WSATI Southern Chapter
Past Presidents who were in attendance. Phil also thanked
several people not on the Committee for assisting with the registration,
including Terry Cramer (Terry Cramer's wife)
and Phyllis Graber (Frank's wife). Phil
then recognized IAATI President Karen Metz,
IAATI Western Regional Chapter President Joe Brosius,
IAATI 4th Vice President Mikel Longman, and
IAATI Director Lou Koven, as well as representatives
from the other WSATI Chapters.
IAATI President Karen Metz
and IAATI 4th Vice President Mikel Longman
made a presentation of the IAATI A.T.
Phillips Award to Insurance Corporation of British Columbia Special
Constable Cal Bodnar and Investigator John
Dykstra.
Following the presentations was the long awaited raffle.
Phil had Frank Graber, who was in charge of
the donors and sponsors, come
up. Frank thanked the many donors and sponsors who helped with the
conference. Frank also thanked the vendors who not only showed their
products at the Seminar, but also in most cases, donated products for the
raffle.
Phil then had WSATI Southern Chapter Past President
Bill
Lovold start the raffle. With the assistance of Bud
Hood, many tickets made their way from the ticket barrel to Bill's
hand. A lot of great raffle gifts were given out to the attendees.
Following the raffle, attendees had music provided
by "The Old Dudes."
The WSATI Southern Chapter wishes to thank this year's
Seminar Sponsors whose assistance helped put on a great Training Seminar.

Golfing was available at the Riverwalk Golf Club,
directly across the street from the Town and Country Resort & Convention
Center. There was no formal tournament, only an opportunity to golf
with friends and peers. Special pricing for Seminar attendees
was arranged with the convention center management staff.
Information regarding the Riverwalk Golf Club can be
found here.
Arrangements were made through Bill
Harris of Enterprise Rent-A-Car for special low rates for the seminar
attendees.
