Gary: Don't know if you have this info, but past pres Bill Robertson had a lung transplant at UCLA med ctr. He was having early complications, including pneumonia, but he has apparently responded to meds for that. They have also placed a temporary pacemaker. As of today, he is ventilating on his own and is in stable condition. I don't believe he is taking calls at this time, but that may change in a few days. If you could pass the word to the wsati folks, it would be appreciated.
|On 3/19/08 I was contacted
by LAPD/TRAP Detective Cesar Ramirez. He suggested that due to the
increase in classic car thefts that a page be set up on the WSATI website.
This was immediately acted upon and the Stolen Classic Cars page was established
that day at http://www.wsati.org/stolenclassics.html.
Unfortunately this page continues to grow.
This page was set up for vehicles reported stolen in the Southern California area. If your vehicle was not reported stolen in the Southern California area, please have the information submitted by the law enforcement agency responsible for handling the investigation of the theft.
Only vehicles that have been 1) reported stolen to law enforcement, and then 2) entered by law enforcement into law enforcement stolen vehicle computer systems, will be considered for placement on the WSATI website's Stolen Classic Cars page.
If you have a stolen classic you'd like to have listed on the website, please include the following information:
Year, Make, Model:
Send the information and photos to the Webmaster so they can be posted on the website.
Let's help get these stolen classics back to their owners. For many, they have been in the family for years.
Gary, how are you doing? Iím Cesar Ramirez, LAPD, TRAP Detective and a member of WSATI. I just got off the phone with Jim Williams and I asked him if WSATI could set up a web page for stolen Classic Cars, I have officers sending me flyers and e-mails of stolen classic cars and I am looking for a web site that can help me Network these flyers. Jim told me he would talk to you on 3-20-08 (Santa Ana WSATI meeting). Let me know if WSATI can do some thing to help me out. CESAR.
Subject: Job Opportunities

From: Gary Labb
Ladies and Gentlemen:
Due to several insurance companies advising me that they have employment opportunities available, and knowing that several WSATI members have recently been laid off due to companies folding, and others looking for new job opportunities, I have now put in a Job Opportunities page at the website.
Progressive Insurance has posted two job openings, and Geico will probably be posting one soon.
The new page is at http://www.wsati.org/jobops.html
Please make contact with the person posting the Job Opportunity and not with the Webmaster. I don't have any more answers than what you see on the page.
Good hunting, Gary
Currently the Southern Chapter does not have a formal membership application process. If you wish to become a member, simply attend the next Southern Chapter Training Meeting/Luncheon. This will give you the opportunity to meet your peers, and to sign the signup list. That will get you on the Chapter Roster.
The Southern Chapter Roster is available to WSATI Southern Chapter members as an Adobe .pdf download from the website. The roster is comprised of attendees of WSATI Southern Chapter Training Meetings/Luncheons. The roster is password protected. The file is about 136 kb in size (last updated 05/7/13). Please take the time to see if your information is correctly listed. If you do not know the password (last shared at the March 21, 2013 meeting) or wish to have your information updated on the roster, please contact the Webmaster with your name, agency, email address, mailing address, and phone number. Click here to go to the roster.
The Southern Chapter maintains an email mailing list for notification to members of upcoming meetings, events, and information. If you wish to be added to the email mailing list please contact the Webmaster with your name, agency, email address, and phone number.
The attached memo applies to the CHP Southern Division, however each CHP Division should have their own 10851 Awards Program Coordinator. It is usually through someone within the Division Investigative Services Unit. If you qualify for this distinctive award, I suggest you contact the 10851 Awards Program Coordinator in your area. For the memo detailing the awards and criteria, please click here.
