On August 3 - 8, 2003, the Los Angeles Police Department
and the International Association of Auto Theft Investigators Western Regional
Chapter (WRC) hosted the 51st Annual International Association of Auto
Theft Investigators (IAATI) Training Seminar. This yearly conference
provides law enforcement officers and private sector personnel with the
latest in training and technology with a goal to reduce auto thefts.
This year's seminar attracted nearly 350 attendees.
Experts from around the world were present to share and seek out new and
innovative prevention strategies. This training benefited both law
enforcement and private sector personnel, providing an ideal networking
