The seminar is also highly recommended as an information update and as
a valuable refresher course to improve the performance and motivation of
experienced personnel involved in the area of Cargo.
THE NEED:
Aviation has proven to be an irresistible target for
terrorists, owing to the massive
fear that aviation attacks generate. The political
instability and hostility that exists in many regions of the world means
that the aviation industry must continually monitor this threat, remain
constantly vigilant and ensure that personnel operate effective procedures
to prevent the infiltration of terrorist weapons and explosives onto aircraft.
The volume of air cargo being transported world-wide
is perpetually on the
increase, emphasising its vulnerability and reputation
as being the weak point of an aviation security regime. Despite new
technologies available, screening and searching of cargo presents unique
problems, including cost and complexity of different methods of screening
technology, as well as problems caused by sheer volume, time restraints
and pressure on airlines' resources.
During this major seminar, participants will analyse
and discuss the evolution of methods used by terrorists and criminals to
circumvent cargo security procedures, the implementation of effective security
systems and the current methods of cargo protection utilised at airports
around the world.

The cost of the seminar is UK £695.00 (UK Pound
Sterling) per participant which will include a full lunch and light refreshments
