During the month of April 2009, an automotive shop on Main Street in Riverside closed down.  Unfortunately the owner took several customer vehicles with him to parts unknown.  I was able to get one car returned which someone dropped off at the car stereo shop at 5 points (La Sierra and Hole).  The shop owner made statements to the victim he was opening a new business somewhere near Tyler Street.  It’s possible the car may be at one of the small lots around 5 points.

Investigation revealed that both cars were last seen Friday evening, April 24th, 2009 at approximately 1900 hours being loaded by two men into a large carry-all truck on the corner of Monrovia and 18th in Costa Mesa. The truck was seen shortly after on eastbound 19th street heading toward the northbound 55 freeway. The truck was described to be white, in excellent condition, with unknown CA license plate information. It had a partial name of "Riverside" on the side of the transportation trailer. There were two men seen, one African American man, possibly in his 50s, about 160 lbs, with a ball cap and a goatee. This man was the driver of the vehicle. 1969 Mercedes 280SL
VIN/12011672
LIC/368VXH (CA)
DOT/031909
COLOR/Ivory

Car was in mint condition with dark tan interior.  All original parts.  Automatic Transmission.
There was a blue Kona sticker on the driver's side front windshield.

Stolen from 4200 Block of Redwood Ave, Marina Del Rey, CA on March 19th at 6:30 pm.

The car was stolen by 2 men who drove up in a maroon Chevy Geo.  This is an unusual color for a Geo and was probably a custom paint job.  The entire thing was recorded on a security camera.

Thank you for your help, we are praying we find it.

Sincerely, Jon Rahman

Billet Specialties serpentine system with remote PS reservoir. Griffen polished radiator. 700R4 transmission with a Billet Works Sheet Metal 9” rear end.

Dropped spindles with rack and pinion steering on the front end. 17x8 and 17x9” polished American Racing Torq Thrust Wheels mounted with BFG G Force tires. 4 wheel Aero Space Slotted Disc Brakes.

Custom gauge cluster, I Didit chrome column and stainless dash insert. Custom stereo system with 6 speakers and a 12” woofer mounted in the trunk. Optima Red Top Battery mounted in the trunk on a custom Billet housing.
