On 3/19/08 I was contacted
by LAPD/TRAP Detective Cesar Ramirez. He suggested that due to the
increase in classic car thefts that a page be set up on the WSATI website.
This was immediately acted upon and the Stolen Classic Cars page was established
that day at http://www.wsati.org/stolenclassics.html.
Unfortunately this page continues to grow.
This page was set up for vehicles reported stolen in the Southern California area. If your vehicle was not reported stolen in California, please have the information submitted by the law enforcement agency responsible for handling the investigation of the theft. Only vehicles that have been 1) reported stolen to law enforcement, and then 2) entered by law enforcement into law enforcement stolen vehicle computer systems (NCIC or CA SVS) as a currently listed stolen vehicle, and 3) considered to be classic cars (25 years old or older [1994 in 2019]), will be considered for placement on the WSATI website's Stolen Classic Cars page. If you have a stolen classic you'd like to have listed on the website, please include the following information: Year, Make, Model, 2 Door / 4 Door / Convertible /
Pickup / Van:
Send the information and photos to the Webmaster so they can be posted on the website. Let's help get these stolen classics back to their owners. For many, they have been in the family for years. Gary ----Original Message-----
Gary, how are you doing? I’m Cesar Ramirez, LAPD, TRAP Detective and a member of WSATI. I just got off the phone with Jim Williams and I asked him if WSATI could set up a web page for stolen Classic Cars, I have officers sending me flyers and e-mails of stolen classic cars and I am looking for a web site that can help me Network these flyers. Jim told me he would talk to you on 3-20-08 (Santa Ana WSATI meeting). Let me know if WSATI can do some thing to help me out. CESAR. |
![]() On June 1st, 2014, I spoke with Dave Lindsay, creator / webmaster of SoCal Car Culture while we were both taking photos at the PCA-OCR Concours in Dana Point. I told him about the continuing and growing problem of Classic Car Theft in Southern California. I told him about how the WSATI Stolen Classic Cars page was being used to put out the word to people about the thefts that had occurred. I asked him if it was possible to link the WSATI Stolen Classic Cars page to his events page as many Classic Car owners go to his website to see upcoming scheduled events. Dave said he thought it would be possible. I forwarded him the link and the WSATI logo. Dave contacted me shortly after and let me know he had linked the WSATI Stolen Classic Cars page to the SoCal Car Culture Events page. And in addition, he updated the WSATI logo on the SoCal Car Culture Events page. Thank you to Dave and SoCal Car Culture for assisting us in trying to find these stolen family members. ![]() |

Subject: Job Opportunities Date: Thu, 19 Sep 2002 20:04:03 -0700 From: Gary Labb Ladies and Gentlemen: Due to several insurance companies advising me that they have employment opportunities available, and knowing that several WSATI members have recently been laid off due to companies folding, and others looking for new job opportunities, I have now put in a Job Opportunities page at the website. Progressive Insurance has posted two job openings, and Geico will probably be posting one soon. The new page is at http://www.wsati.org/jobops.html Please make contact with the person posting the Job Opportunity and not with the Webmaster. I don't have any more answers than what you see on the page. Good hunting, Gary |

The attached memo applies to the CHP Southern Division, however each CHP Division should have their own 10851 Awards Program Coordinator.
