2018 WSATI Southern Chapter President Jeff Enfield (LASD / TRAP) welcomed everyone to the meeting and a new WSATI venue, the SCE Energy Education Center, in Irwindale.
Jeff requested that Vice President Mick O'Neill (Hagerty Insurance SIU) lead the attendees in the pledge of allegiance.
Jeff introduced the other Southern Chapter Officers who were in attendance:
Vice President Mick
Associate Director Joe Starbird (Long Beach Police) and Associate Director Alan Skobin (LASD/TRAP) could not attend the meeting.
WSATI Southern Chapter Past Presidents who were in attendance:

The presentation was very enlightening and there was even more information given out during the lively question and answer segment.
Following the presentation, Jeff announced that the 2018 WSATI Training Seminar, hosted by the Northern Chapter, will take place October 8-10, 2018, at the Mont Bleu Resort in South Lake Tahoe. He said that information was posted on the WSATI website.
During the roundtable discussion, Dennis Frias (Locator Technologies / OCRA) reminded the attendees that the Orange County Auto Theft Advisory Committee Vehicle Theft Recovery Officer of the Year Awards Brunch is on May 23, 2018 in Garden Grove. He invited attendees to participate in this event recognizing the top recovery officers from each law enforcement agency in Orange County.
Webmaster Gary Labb (Santa Ana Police / OCATT [retired]) advised the attendees of the encrypted online networking roster and gave the attendees the password to allow them access to the roster.
Jeff invited those who purchased luncheon tickets to enjoy their lunch while networking with the others in the room. The attendees were able to enjoy an abundant amount of food provided.
Following the luncheon, the raffle was conducted by Mick O'Neill , with the help of Mike Carnakis, Johnny Miyasaki, and Melissa Somers. The raffle helps raise money for WSATI funds that assist in putting on future seminars, as well as supporting events such as the San Diego and Orange County ATAC Vehicle Theft Recovery Officer of the Year programs.
There were several new faces that came to the meeting, as well as several "old" members who had not been to the meetings in some time. Thank you all for your attendance.
Jeff announced the next meeting / luncheon would be held on July 19, 2018. The venue will be the Petersen Automotive Museum. The presentation will be on Classic Car Theft. RSVPs will be necessary for the luncheon portion of this meeting.
The meeting was adjourned.
