November 19, 2020 WSATI Training Meeting Held Virtually on Zoom
Attendees were allowed access to the meeting early to a chat room with the ability to see and hear others that they had not probably been able to see in approximately two months since the September Virtual Training Meeting due to the WSATI Training Meeting / Luncheons being cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions placed on WSATI and our hosting venues. WSATI Southern Chapter Legal Advisor Richard Knapp (Knapp & Spurlock, LLP) welcomed everyone to the meeting in the WSATI Southern Chapter's "new normal" meeting venue... virtual. Richard acted as the moderator of the Virtual Meeting and started with the Pledge of Allegiance. Richard then introduced the guest speaker who would be giving the presentations during the Virtual Meeting. Guest Speaker George Baker, Global Vehicle Security Lead, from General Motors gave a presentation on "A Vehicle Security Update from GM." This training was well received by the Zoom attendees who were both LEOs and non-LEOs. Southern Chapter Vice President Melissa Somers (CPP of SoCal) opened up the Roundtable Discussion. Due to questions regarding the "security" of the virtual meetings, meeting attendees were advised to not bring up confidential information. The meeting was adjourned. |
